About the farm...
We are a bit different from most farms in the area. Most of the animals here have been rescued from unwanted or neglectful situations. Our residents at this time include horses, chickens, dogs, cats, llamas & a donkey. Although we are unable to rescue any more animals we do not turn our backs on those we have. They live at the farm where they receive the care and love they deserve.
We had focused primarily on llama rescue due to such a huge amount of abuse, mishandling and misunderstanding of these gracious and proud animals. The main support of the farm is through our daily ‘real jobs’ and then any proceeds we can make from the farm and the farmers markets.
Our llama manure or as we call it “black gold” is a huge hit. It truly is one of the best fertilizers you can use on your garden. It also gives the llamas a job. After they are sheared, their fiber is awesome for spinning or crafts like needle felting.
We sell homemade applesauce, made with locally grown apples in season, hot pepper jelly made with homegrown peppers or 'free range' Concord grape jelly.. just to name a few items.
On our seasonal farm stand, what veggies we don't grow here on the farm, we obtain from a nearby local farm.
And of course… farm fresh eggs!
If you can't make it to the farm, we can be found at many local farmers' markets...
Happy Farming!!
